Let there be light by A. M. Johnson

Let there be light is more than a story of first love. So much more. It’s overwhelming, devastating and beautifully poetic. There’s so much emotion. Darkness and light. Let there be light is the story about two college students, Royal and Camden, and the slow unfolding of their relationship. Royal is an easy-going, swim scholarship student. Camden is a fiercly talented pianist, who – as a coping mechanism – keeps himself emotionally disconnected from the world. These two polar opposites meet by chance and just like magnets, they’re drawn to each other. But Royal has never been attracted to a guy before, and Camden has kept himself apart, living in…

Darcy comes first (for a change) by Lilliana Anderson

This is a Great read. With a captial G. It’s about 40-year old Darcy who is abandoned by her husband of 20 years, tricked out of her home and totally destitute, and her struggle to start a new life for herself and her two kids. It doesn’t sound particularly romantic, but it is. Only a more realistic and mature romance where attraction and love aren’t the only ingredients needed for a happily ever after. Darcy ends up taking her kids to live at her Nana’s nice, but small, beach condo, forcing her 8-year old and sullen 14-year old to share a room. Darcy – while heartbroken and betrayed – tries…

    Curious by R.G. Alexander

Curious is about the steamiest, smuttiest book I’ve ever read. If you’re not into some seriously hot and graphical descriptions of M/M action, this is sooo not the story for you. It’s the kind of novel where the story is only a backdrop to the sexy-times, the in-between that is essential in order to get to the good stuff. It’s basically porn in written form where the dirty deeds play in your mind instead of on pay-per-view. Curious is the first book in the series The Finn Factor, and it’s about two long-time friends – Owen Finn and Jeremy Porter – who starts to redefine their friendship when Owen asks…

    Havoc by Kindle Alexander

Havoc is the first book in the Tattoos and Ties Duet. It’s an M/M story about the rich, well-groomed attorney and the sexy AF tattooed biker and how they, against all odds, fall for each other. It’s sounds pretty awesome doesn’t it? There is so much potential to this story. The biker – Keyes – a member of a motorcycle club and not always on the right side of the law meets Alec who happens to work for a District Attorney set on taking the motorcycle club down. And the attraction between Keyes and Alec can’t be denied even if both of them know that their respective worlds can never…

    Wallbanger by Alice Clayton

Wallbanger is a feel-good romance that has all the ingredients. It’s a story about Caroline, an interior designer (not a decorator dammit!), that when moving into a new appartment, discovers that she can hear way more of her next door neighbour’s nightly activities than she bargained for. Not only does the incessant banging on the other side of the thin wall disrupt her sleep, but her cat goes bananas as well. As it turns out, the rude, wallbanging, womanpleasing (yes, Caroline can definitely hear how satisfied the different women on the other side of her bedroom wall are) guy that is her neighbour is also hot hot hot. When she…

The Forge trilogy by Meghan March

The Forge trilogy consists of #1 Deal with the Devil, #2 Luck of the Devil and #3 Heart of the Devil. Meghan March always writes extremely steamy romances and the Forge trilogy is no exception. As always, the story is sizzling, super dirty, absolutely NOT politically correct and entirely engaging. The story-line is very similar to many of the ones in her previous novels. I guess there are only so many ways you can write about a super sexy, rich and powerful man that just has to have the headstrong beatiful woman in trouble. Of course, they end up together, deliriously happy. But it’s the in between that matters. Even…

Craving sugar by Elena M. Reyes

Craving Sugar is the definition of smut. It’s hot, hot, hot and totally NSFW. It’s about Beau, a special education’s student in Miami, who’s persuaded to try a slightly unconventional way of paying for her college tuition. She becomes a sugar baby to a rich, older man. Only problem is, the man – Hendrix Parker – is hot as hell, entirely too moody, demanding and unreasonable and Beau finds herself falling for him although he sees her only as a temporary plaything. At least, that’s how it seems. Hendrix is in turn plagued by his past and fights his growing feelings for the woman who was only supposed to be…

Top Secret by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy

Top Secret is the latest collaboration between Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy and their third joint M/M romance. I love Bowen’s and Kennedy’s combined writing. It’s spectacular, on point and utterly engaging.  However, I have to admit, I’m a bit on the fence about Top Secret. Maybe  it’s because I started out with such high expectations, and that I was counting on being as blown away as I was by Him and Us. The story takes place in a small American college town, and the two main characters are members of the same fraternity. Keaton is the rich and, supposedly, spoilt football player and Luke is the broke scholarship student with…

‘Him’ and ‘Us’ by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy

Since I just got the newest book by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy – Top Secret – I simply must post a review of two of their earlier novels. As an ode to their awesomeness until I’ve finished Top Secret. 🙂 Him and Us is a two book installment and another M/M romance. And it’s simply wonderful. I don’t care for sports. Not even a bit. But the fact that the two main characters are hockey players doesn’t deter me at all, quite the opposite. The idea of a love story between two super fit professional athletes is nothing but really hot. But apart from fabulous physiques, the most appealing with…

The Magnolia Chronicles by Kate Canterbary

The full name of this altogether yummy read is The Magnolia Chronicles: Adventures in modern dating. It’s the latest novel from Kate Canterbary, and as always she delivers and then some. As the title suggests, the story is about Magnolia and her, sometimes unfortunate but always hilarious, attempts at meeting The One. With a notoriously bad track record with men, Magnolia is about to give up when her mother makes her promise to give dating a real shot for one full year. And as Magnolia tries to navigate the pitfalls of online dating, she stumbles across, not one but two, drool-worthy guys that both seem to be potential Mr. Rights.…
