Communion (On My Knees #3) by Ella James
I’m so conflicted right now. The first two books in this series blew me away. I was so overwhelmed by all the feels it wasn’t even funny. But this third installment… I don’t know what to think. But first, I must be clear about that no matter my feelings (which are all over the place at the moment), this is a very well-written story with the most engaging of topics. And it’s steamy like you wouldn’t believe (maybe even too much so). Also, I’m totally in love with the cover. It’s gorgeous in an I’d-love-to-hang-it-on-my-wall kind of way. Synopsis: Luke, a pastor in the megachurch Evermore, has come out as…

Sorcerers Always Satisfy (Hidden Species #4) by Louisa Masters
Release Date: June 3rd I’m so conflicted right now. And I have sooo many feelings. This is the last book in the series, meaning I have some grieving to get through. But there’s also some what-the-eff-happeneds that I need to come to terms with. Fortunately, there will be a spin-off. Which is a good thing. Apart from Percy’s story, I need Dustin’s. So bad. Synopsis: This is David’s story. The sorcerer who’s always kept to the background in the previous Hidden Species books. And it’s Caolan’s story, the elf who appeared from another dimension at the end of book 3. Caolan is immediately smitten with David, but David has a…

King & Queen (RELIC #3) by Maz Maddox
Release date: May 21st This was such a delightful read! Without a doubt the best RELIC so far. It had everything. Fun, engaging characters? Check. Fast paced action involving fossil thieves and dino-nappers? Check. Quirkiness galore, drag queens, and filthy shenanigans? Check, check, and check. Synopsis: As a member of RELIC, Royal the dinosaur shifter is sent to check out a new fossil excavation, in the event of a new shifter being awakened from hibernation. Blaise is visiting the site for entirely different reasons involving a camera and a live stream. Neither of them expected to stumble upon fossil thieves. Or being chased by an angry Giganotosaurus. It must be…

Book of Orlando (Mortal and Divine #1) by Laura Lascarso
There are so many people who rave about this book. I DNF:ed it at about 70%. That being said, however, I can absolutely see the appeal of the story, and it’s without a doubt very well-written and compelling in a removed kind of way. Synopsis: So this is the story of Orlando, an under privileged kid growing up in Miami. He catches the attention of a supernatural being, a courier of souls, who reveals himself as Henri to Orlando at a young age. When Orlando grows into a beautiful young man, with a superior talent for ballet, the bond between Orlando and Henri grows stronger and despite the severe consequences for…

The Queen and The Homo Jock King (At First Sight #2) by T.J. Klune
This is the most outrageous book I’ve ever read – well, listened to in this case. It’s over-the-top, un-filtered and inappropriate. It’s absolutely hilarious and I adore it! Synposis: The surface story is about Sanford Stuart, Sandy, a regular guy working as a claims adjuster for an insurance company. Sandy’s alter ego is the fabulous drag queen Helena Handbasket who performs for her adoring fans at the only gay bar in Tuscon. One such fan is Darren Mayne, a delicious homo jock who Sandy detests, while also salivating over. When Jack It, the gay bar, is at risk of being closed down, the owner of the bar comes up with…

Endangered Species (Time Served #1) by Onley James
This read is the very definition of juicy smut, the kind you really don’t want to read in public. In another word: Awesome! Synopsis: Nicholas Webster leads a good life. He’s left his abusive childhood behind and is a computer wiz at a security firm. That is, until he’s falsely accused of terrorism and incarcerated in a maximum security prison. The same prison where his step-brother, Cyrus, is serving 25 years for a murder he didn’t commit – because Nicky’s testimony put him there. Nicky thinks he’s a dead man. But, as it turns out, Cy isn’t the one Nicky should fear the most. Someone wants Nicky dead, the sooner…

Coddiwomple by S.E. Harmon
Coddiwomple is second-chance, M/M romance done right! And thankfully, the preface contained an explanation to the title and its meaning. “To travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination”. It wasn’t just good for my non native English speaker self to learn the meaning (and that it wasn’t a commonplace word), but it also captured the mindset of one of the MCs to a tee. Synopsis: Journey (JJ) is a photographer, travelling the world. But when he gets a call that his father’s had a stroke, he returns home to his hometown to help out. Only, it’s not only his family he’s returning to, there’s also his ex fiancé,…

Turnabout (Vino & Veritas #9) by Laurel Greer
Release date: May 6th This story gave my all sorts of feels. An M/M, second chance romance, set in Sarina Bowen’s True North universe. It’s the story of Carter, who left small town life for a chance to prove himself, and Auden, the one who stayed behind. And even though the story alternates between the viewpoints of Auden and Carter respectively, to me, this was Carter’s story. So, when Carter’s father needs help with running his print-shop, Carter steps up, puts his life on hold and goes back home to do what he can. However, Carter’s ex, Auden, still works at said print-shop and neither of them have really gotten…
