The Alien’s Kidnapped Omega (The Alien’s Omega #1) by Sienna Sway

This might not be a five-star, but it was awesome none the less. It was exactly what I needed right now. Fast-paced, kind of short, and a romance that wasn’t entirely as predictable as it could have been. Sure, it was only low to medium on the steam scale, but with the generally juicy storyline, the spice was enough. I just love the I’m-an-omega-but-didn’t-know-it-trope. And combined with an abduction and a forced (but not quite unwanted) bonding to a big hunk of an alien… Well. It hit all my spots. Synopsis: Alex, the human omega, is tasked to establish contact with the dominant alien race of the planet Mukhana. But on his first…

Cross (The Formicary #2) by S.E. Harmon

Release Date: November 3rd To say I’m feeling conflicted would be an understatement. I was dying for the resolution of this story, and in many ways Cross did deliver. But also… all those plot holes… Synopsis: This book continues the story that started with Chrysalis. Chris and Gray are held against their will at the Formicary, and Chris desperately tries to find a way to get his lover and ex-boyfriend free. But to do that, he needs to figure out what’s really going on at the compound and exactly what was done to him. His memory loss prevents him from piecing it all together, and he’s starting to run out…

Prince’s Master (Calluvia’s Royalty #4) by Alessandra Hazard

For quite a while, I really thought Hazard had blown it with this book. The story didn’t sweep me away in the same way the first three books did. But it’s worth hanging in there, it really is. Synopsis: Eridan was rescued as a child from an assassination attempt and has been raised in High Hronthar by an order of telepathic monks. He’s unaware of his true identity as the second prince of the Fifth Grand Clan. He only knows that he’s been claimed as an apprentice by the most powerful man in the Order, Castien Idhron. Castien doesn’t deal in feelings. He’s manipulative, without scruples and he will use…

Acquainted With the Night by Lesli Richardson

This book was a bit of a mind-f***. And I’m super conflicted as to whether it’s brilliant or just seedy. What I am sure about, though, is that it’s not for everyone. Because it’s basically gay, alien porn, and yet, it’s… not. Sure, there’s more or less non-stop boning throughout the book but it’s also kind of sweet. And I cried rivers at the end. So you see, tricky. Synopsis: Dale was drafted to fight in the war against the alien Algonquans. When he’s captured he has no idea what to expect. However, he soon realize that nothing that the Earth government has told him about the Algonquans are true.…

Dark Edge of Honor (Doctrine Wars) by Alexandr Voinov and Rhi Etzweiler

This is an enemies-to-lovers story in the truest sense of the trope. Two soldiers, fighting for opposite sides, falling for each other despite their beginning being based on betrayal and deceit. Dark Edge of Honor is awesome, but I’m also super conflicted about it. It’s such a typical guy’s book with all these elements that I should – and usually do – find mind-numbingly boring. And yet I didn’t. Granted, the two lovers both being men did help of course. Synopsis: Sergei is a young Coalition officer who’s been sent to assisst in the invasion of the planet of Cirokko. Honorful and conscientious, he follows The Doctrine in everything –…

Alpha Trine (The Valespian Pact Book 1) by Lexi Ander

This here’s an M/M, Sci-Fi romance. Or maybe it would be more correct calling it an M/living-snake-tattoo/marsupial romance? Because technically it’s a threesome (even though two of the involved beings are in fact merged together) involving three different species of unclear biological gender. So I’ll be honest. I didn’t like this read as a romance even a little bit. But as a Sci-Fi adventure, I adored it! Blurb: The main character is a guy named Zeus. Found on an abandoned space-ship as an infant, he was adopted by the Mar’Sani royal family. Despite him being human and the Mar’Sani being big, scaly, lizard-people. Raised like a prince but never truly…

Beneath The Surface by Alainna MacPherson

Coming July 31st This is a dystopian romance where an alien guy and a human woman get it on against all odds. It’s an alright story with an interesting premise, but unfortunately there were many small mistakes and plotholes that ruined my overall enjoyment. Blurb: An alien race has invaded earth, supposedly to help humans against another alien threat. But in the process they’ve enslaved the entire human race, using them as their inferior workforce. Annabeth is a young woman working in an alien mine when a new alien soldier arrives to supervise the miners. And, of course, Annabeth and the alien Soldier, Marken, are instantly drawn to each other.…

Zercy (The Nira Chronicles #2) by Kora Knight

This read had tentacles in it. Sentient tentacles that did unspeakable things. That’s more or less everything you need to know. Read it, don’t read it. Whatever. But if you do, please be prepared for lots of invasive, wiggly action. Technically, there’s nothing wrong with the book or the writing. But really, I just can’t get past all those appendages. 0

Kríe Captivity (Nira Chronicles #1) by Kora Knight

This book belongs to the dicked-out-by-an-alien genre. The M/M edition. And call me kinky, but it was actually pretty entertaining. Blurb: A team of scientists crash on an alien planet they’re sent to investigate. Apparently without knowing the place is teeming with intelligent lifeforms. They’re quickly captured by some big-ass, purple aliens. Highly sexual ones. The mostly straight team of humans aren’t particularly enthusiastic about the aliens’ advances. But after luring the humans into eating some sort of alien viagra-fruit, well, things heat up. Obviously, this is not a book meant for everyone. But it works for open-minded people who enjoy Sci-Fi and supernatural reads. And also like to read…

That Alien Feeling by Alessandra Hazard

That Alien Feeling is a bit of a whimsical story. Whimsical but at the same time tremendously endearing and thoroughly entertaining. I also became – very unexpectedly I might add – quite emotional when the forces working against the two MCs just wouldn’t let up. And yes, there were a few tears. The main character of the book is a young guy named Harry. Harry is utterly blind to social cues, lacking all fashion sense, naive to a fault and working in a coffee shop in London. Also, he’s an alien prince from the planet of Calluvia. Which certainly explains a lot of his weird behaviour. Anyway. Harry was sent…
