Precious by Roe Horvat

Right. This one escalated quickly. But then, it’s porn, so maybe that’s why. It’s labelled as erotica, but tomato, tamaahto…

Precious is, more specifically, M/M, omegaverse erotica which allows for some interesting modifications of such minor details as stamina, size and anatomy in general.

This book is basically non-stop fucking. However, there is a thin thread of a storyline to bind all the fuck-sessions together.

The story goes something like this; Travis, who’s an alpha, is spending some time at his family’s secluded cabin. He finds a young, unconscious man who’s suffering from hypothermia and he brings him home to his cabin. As it turns out, the young man – Micah – is in heat and needs some …. attention. Between bouts of boning, Micah is secretive. He won’t tell Travis who he is or what he was doing in the woods. Then, a man turns up at Travis’ doorstep claiming to be Micah’s husband.

I’d say this book is probably 10% story and 90% dicking. And I won’t lie, it’s hot as all get out. Truly.

But, there’s also a limited number of ways to hide the salami, so it does get a bit repetitive after a while. Meaning I wouldn’t recommend binge-reading, but divided into more manageable morsels, this book is freaking awesome (read hot AF).

But honestly, for a story with such a large fuck-quota it’s actually also very sweet. Travis is a big, cuddly bear, who just wants someone to love. And Micah is the little, lost twink who falls for Travis’ charm. It’s downright adorable.

4 stars. Highly recommend.

I'm a Swedish book nerd reading mostly steamy English romance novels. And since there is so much good stuff out there, and so much shitty stuff too. I just want to give credit where it's due (and diss the rest).
