Loverboy (The Company #2) by Sarina Bowen

Release date: December 1st   Loverboy is a fun, easy-going romance that gave me the worst cravings for pies. The story is set, in part, in a pie-shop and there are way too many savory descriptions of pies in there. I mean, what the hell, Bowen! Like 2020 hasn’t been bad enough for peoples waistlines already! šŸ˜‰ No, but seriously. There’s something so very appealing about books with lots of pastries in them, it just makes the whole story all the more homey and welcoming somehow. Anyway. So to the actual story; There’s Posy, pie-shop owner extraordinaire, recently divorced (from a complete tool) and struggling to find some good, reliable…

    Roommate by Sarina Bowen

COMING JANUARY 12, 2021 Wanted: One roommate to share a 3-bedroom house, split the rent, and ideally not be the guy I can’t stop thinking about.Ā Ā  I’m a man with too many secrets, so the last thing I need is a new roommate with a sexy smile and blue eyes that see right through me. Eight years ago, Roderick left town after high school. We’re not friends. I owe him nothing. But back then, I let one of my secrets slip, and he’s the only one who noticed. Part of me knows I should run far, far away. But the other part wants him to come upstairs and spend the…

Lies & Lullabies (Hush Note #1) by Sarina Bowen

Coming September 22ndĀ  So, this one was a bit of a roller-coaster for me. Not only because of the emotional story – even though that did indeed contribute – but rather because of the trope. Synopsis: This is the story of Kira and Jonas. They meet during a summer that Jonas spends writing songs in Kira’s small home town. Kira doesn’t know he’s a rock star and when he leaves at summer’s end, she doesn’t know she’s pregnant. Five years later, Jonas rolls back into town and is confronted with a little girl that looks just like him. Jonas had never forgotten the magical summer he spent with Kira. And…

    Sure Shot by Sarina Bowen

Coming May 12 I tried to hold off a bit, reading Sure Shot. Because I know that once I start one of Bowen’s books, I usually can’t put it down until I’ve finished it. And yes, that’s pretty much what happened. So, as per usual, I started out carefully trying to savor every word, but soon I was racing through to the end feeling a whole lot of feels and nursing a book hangover. Sure Shot is the latest installment in the Brooklyn Bruisers series. That’s hockey-themed romance of the very best kind. This series takes place in the kind of book universe where there are the same recurring characters…

    Heartland by Sarina Bowen

Coming January 28th Heartland is the newest book in the True North series by Sarina Bowen and it’s another emotional rollercoaster with all the feels, just like the other True North books are. I did bawl a bit at one point. You know that ugly kind of crying involving snot. But don’t worry, there’s a happily ever after in the very end. Heartland is Dylan Shipley’s and Chastity’s story. Dylan is the College heartthrob, the altogether nice – but also a bit slutty – guy who’s devoted to his family and friends. And Chastity, she’s one of his very best ones. Raised in a religious cult, Chastity managed to escape…

Christmas in the City by L.J. Shen and many many more

Christmas in the City is a total gem. It’s a Christmas (duh) themed anthology featuring the best authors, and is guaranteed to put a goofy smile on your face. It’s a total of six stories, co-written by twelve authors, including L.J. Shen, Helena Hunting, Penelope Ward, Penny Reid, Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. If you’re anything like me and don’t have nearly enough time for reading now that the holiday season is here, then you’ll appreciate this anthology for sure. Usually I prefer full-length novels, but during December especially, there’s never enough time to really immerse myself, and then bite-sized is the shit. Christmas in the City is a super…

Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby

Man Cuffed – coming November 19 – is the very best of rom-com. Hilarious, sexy and impossible to put down. It has it all; A grumpy, muscly, alfa-male with a bit of a gooey center. A strong, kickass and wonderfully self-assured heroine. And all the wonderful shenanigans those two get up to. The story is about Meg. Strong-willed and confident, she’s trying to make it as an actress while working different serving jobs to pay the bills. When moving into a new apartment, she soon discovers that her new neighbour is a hunky police officer. A police officer she once mistook for a stripper and tried to rip the clothes…

    Moonlighter by Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen’s newest release, Moonlighter, will be available October 22nd and is a true page-turner. Bowen always writes the very highest quality of witty romance, but with Moonlighter she’s introduced an element of suspense that took the reading experience to an even higher level. It’s simply awesome. It has it all. Romance. Delicious smut. Endearing characters. And humour. Because Moonlighter is hilarious. Moonlighter is a part of a new series, The Company, but also works as a segue from her Brooklyn Bruisers series, since the male main character is a BB hockey player. As all of her novels, Moonlighter can be read as a stand-alone, but it’ll be so much…
